1. Acceptance
By using the Sidre app or this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
2. The service
Sidre is a free app for prayer times, the adhan alarm, qibla, the Ramadan calendar, the prayer tracker and a daily verse. It has no account, ads or in-app purchases, and it works offline. The app is provided "as is"; features may change or be removed without notice.
3. Prayer times
Times are computed with recognized methods and were checked against official tables, but they are calculations. Local authorities and mosques may announce different times. When in doubt, follow your local mosque, and use the minute adjustments in Settings.
4. Limits of accuracy
The qibla direction depends on your phone's compass, its calibration and nearby magnetic interference. Verify it against a known reference when you can.
The Hijri date is computed from a table and may differ by a day from the local moon sighting.
Notifications and alarms depend on your phone's notification, alarm and battery settings. On some devices they may be delayed or not shown.
5. Religious content
Verse translations come from QuranEnc.com and are shown unchanged with their source. Sidre does not issue religious rulings and does not replace a scholar.
6. Your data and backups
All data is stored only on your phone; none of it reaches us, so we cannot recover lost data. Before changing phones or deleting the app, export a backup from the Tracker screen.
7. Intellectual property
The app's design, code and texts belong to Sidre. The Quran's Arabic text is from Tanzil.net, translations from QuranEnc.com, adhan recordings from freesound.org under CC0 and CC BY 4.0, and the Manrope and Amiri fonts under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. The full list is in the app's Settings, under Open-source licences, and on the sound credits page.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, data loss, or a missed prayer, a wrong direction or a wrong date arising from the use of the app or from being unable to use it.
9. Changes
If these terms change, the current text is published on this page with a new date.
